Two year old Bronte has severe cerebral palsy. She has been diagnosed with level 5 cerebral palsy (the most severe). Her loving mum Rebecca needs to care for Bronte 24 hours a day.
Bronte has very little body strength and desperately needed a specially modified pram to support her fragile body.
The truth is, without the specialised pram, Bronte was at risk of developing other conditions such as scoliosis as her posture was not kept in the correct position.
However the specially modified pram Bronte needed cost upwards of $9,000 - an amount a single mum like Rebecca just could not afford. Not to mention having to wait months on end for this specially modified equipment.
Thanks to the generosity and support of 20/twenty participants, Bronte was able to receive her specialised pram which in turn will hold her upright, keep her posture in the correct position so she is comfortable and more importantly keep her safe.
20/twenty gives children like Bronte the joy of living their life with the independence, freedom and the opportunities that come from having the right equipment that fits and supports their needs.
We can’t tell you enough how important your involvement is, and how wonderful it is to be able to count on your support.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generous support of the 20/twenty Challenge and Cerebral Palsy Alliance!
