EVENT OVERVIEW

The 20/twenty Challenge is an annual fundraising event hosted by Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Each year teams of 4 people come together to raise much-needed funds for Cerebral Palsy Alliance and compete in a fun-filled 20km triathlon like event.

Course Summary:

The all-action event kicks off with an early morning swim at the beautiful Shelly Beach, then soak up the sun with a scenic 10km foreshore walk to Clontarf Beach.

A challenging paddle across to Mosman before commencing your next leg a 5km run along the Mosman foreshore and finishing off with a last paddle back to Clontarf Beach.

Then enjoy a fabulous lunch and a bit of banter with your fellow team mates.

All teams are challenged to raise at least $8,000 and all funds will help kids and people living with cerebral palsy live their best life by providing them with the right equipment at the right time.

Choose which challenge suits you and your ability:

GRAND PRIX DIVISION

2km swim / 10km walk / 5km run / 3km kayak

If you enjoy running and wish to push yourself even further - this challenge is for you. The difference between Grand Prix and Classic is that you can run part of the course.

  • 2km swim Shelly Beach, Manly (500m sprint lap - nominated team swimmer, then 4 x 500m laps - each team member)
  • Walk from Shelly Beach to Clontarf Beach
  • Kayak from Clontarf Beach to Chinamans Beach
  • Run from Chinamans Beach around Balmoral Oval and back
  • Kayak from Chinamans Beach to Clontarf Beach and cross the finish line

CLASSIC DIVISION

2km swim / 15km walk / 3km kayak

Participants registered in the ‘Classic’ division must NOT run any part of the course.  

  • 2km swim Shelly Beach, Manly (500m sprint lap - nominated team swimmer, then 4 x 500m laps - each team member)
  • Walk from Shelly Beach to Clontarf Beach
  • Kayak from Clontarf Beach to Chinamans Beach
  • Walk from Chinamans Beach around Balmoral Oval and back
  • Kayak from Chinamans Beach to Clontarf Beach and cross the finish line

CLASSIC 500 DIVISION

500m swim / 15km walk / 3km kayak

Participants registered in the ‘Classic 500’ division must NOT run any part of the course.

  • Walk from Shelly Beach to Clontarf Beach
  • Kayak from Clontarf Beach to Chinamans Beach
  • Walk from Chinamans Beach around Balmoral Oval and back
  • Kayak from Chinamans Beach to Clontarf Beach and cross the finish line

FAMILY DIVISION

500m swim / 10km walk
